About Tom Nagy, CPV

I am a Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) with full current registration with the Australian Property Institute, and I have more than 30 years' experience in real estate and property valuation.

I provide accurate, independent property valuations to private and professional clients and businesses throughout Melbourne. My reports are accepted by the courts, the Australian Taxation Office, the State Revenue Office, municipal councils and professional bodies.

I grew up in Melbourne and started in the real estate industry in the 1980s, then moved into property valuation after completing a Bachelor of Business (Property) at RMIT. As well as valuing throughout Melbourne and its surrounds, I have worked in Queensland and Northern Victoria (Albury–Wodonga and the alpine regions), which has given me a wealth of experience to draw on. I have valued beach boxes, historic buildings of the University of Melbourne, recycling and waste depots, and ski lodges.

I offer my valuation service direct to clients at competitive rates. I can do that because there are no office administration staff or managers: you deal with me.

What "Certified Practising Valuer" means

To hold CPV status in Victoria a valuer needs a tertiary qualification in property, two years of full-time supervised valuation practice, and a successful panel interview with the Australian Property Institute's Board of Examiners. API membership also requires ongoing professional development every year.
